ON VOLANTS ;; There were a large number, sort of like a large Clan amount, of cats called Volants. These are all cats who had wings, and they all lived as one group or pack. The leader was usually just the oldest, and there were no other high positions. This group was not like a Clan, it had no mentors and no medicine cats, each parents taaught their own kits all the skills they needed to know. But still, the Volants would support each other and they lived in harmony.
ON DUOWALKERS ;; The term "duowalkers" is simply the term Volants used to describe humans. There were humans also on the island, only a few of them. These humans were scientifically advanced, very advanced. They lived on the same side of the island that the Volants lived on, though they never bothered the each other. One day, a human had an experiment go wrong. No one quite knows what happened, but they suspect it was a sort of gas in the air, or chemical reaction. It killed all of the humans, and most every Volant, as well as the other creatures on that side of the island. There were four Volants left. Together, the four began to travel to the other side of the island.
ON OCEANCLAN ;; OceanClan was a Clan that was an extent of the Volants. Sort of. They had come from the same family at one point, but genetic mutations and surrounding climates caused OceanClan to veer to the other side of the island, wingless and together. The leader though, had a dream. Of course, it was a StarClanner, telling the leader of the group everything about the Clans, and asking if she wanted to lead one. Thus began the creation of OceanClan. Soon the wing gene was weeded out of the genetic coding, and every cat was just normal and wingless. Being as the island was large, the reaction that caused the ravaging of the duowalkers and Volants, did not harm OceanClan.
ON THE ISLAND ;; This island is located in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle. The theory of the accident caused by the duowalkers is why no one can find that island, or why they disappear upon arrival there. It has something to do with the chemical reaction. The one ravaged side of the island is still slightly unbalanced, as well as the air higher in altitude. Like a "hot air rises" thing. Humans still could not survive in the conditions, and the four remaining Volants were set off for the other side of the island. Basically the right side. The left side of the island is now vacant by most creatures, the ones affected by the accident.
